Nicole Merriman began her career in public accounting with McCay Duff LLP in 2007 as a university co-op student. After earning her Bachelor of Commerce in 2009, she returned to the firm full-time while completing her Chartered Accountant designation, which she obtained in 2012. Following several years of industry experience, Nicole rejoined McCay Duff LLP in 2022 and joined the partnership in 2026.

As a Partner, Nicole provides accounting, assurance, tax, and advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She is known for delivering practical, thoughtful advice and works closely with business owners and leadership teams on strategic planning, growth, and long-term decision-making. Nicole brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to her work and is deeply committed to developing strong client relationships and mentoring the next generation of professionals.

Nicole served on the Board of the Ottawa Curling Club for over a decade and previously volunteered on the Financial Reporting Committee of the Council of Ontario Universities, reflecting her ongoing commitment to governance and financial stewardship.

Outside of the office, Nicole loves golfing, curling, travelling and most of all, adventuring outdoors with her husband and three sons.
