Ryan Miller started with McCay Duff LLP in 2001 and joined the Partnership in 2012. During his time with the firm, Ryan has advised a diverse clientele of owner-managed businesses and medical professionals and clients in the not-for-profit sector.

Ryan is the partner in charge of quality control and professional standards. He leads the training and development of staff on matters pertaining to Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises, Accounting Standards for Not for Profit Organizations, and International Financial Reporting Standards. He is primarily responsible for ensuring that the firm complies with Canadian auditing standards set by CPA Canada. Ryan also has experience working with CPA Ontario, conducting Practice Inspections of other firms in Ontario to assess their compliance with assurance standards. He is currently a member of the CPA Ontario Practice Inspection Committee.

In addition to overseeing audits and reviews, Ryan works with clients regarding corporate governance, internal controls, and financial planning, including developing effective tax strategies. Ryan’s experience with the not-for-profit sector includes acting as Treasurer for several organizations, including his current volunteer position as Treasurer of the Royal Ottawa Volunteer Association and being a regular presenter at the Canadian Condominium Institute, speaking on topics related to corporate governance.

When not at work, Ryan enjoys alpine skiing and travelling with his family.
